Entrap — A Rule-Based Tactical Board Game

Entrap is a rule-based tactical board game where strategy meets uncertainty. You control four pieces, each trapped within an ever-shifting maze filled with teleport gates and mystery boxes. Every turn, fate decides three numbers — and you must assign them wisely to survive.

๐ŸŽฏ Objective

Your goal is to reach tiles or paths that contain mystery boxes. Each box hides the unknown — it may offer freedom (an escape from the Chakravyuh) or death (a bomb that destroys your piece). Choosing when and where to move is the key to survival.

โ†ฉ๏ธ Movement Rules

  • Forward — Move ahead.
  • Backward — Move back to where you came from.

โš”๏ธ Enemy Encounters

The enemy follows the same dice results as you — a shared fate that binds both sides. If an enemy reaches your tile or you step onto theirs, your piece is destroyed instantly. Each time you die, a new enemy piece spawns — making the maze even deadlier over time.

๐ŸŽฒ Core Features

  • ๐ŸŒ€ Shared Fate System: Player and enemy use the same random movement values.
  • โœจ Teleportation Paths: Unpredictable portals that may lead to salvation or doom.
  • ๐ŸŽ Mystery Boxes: Contain rewards, bombs, or the one chance to escape the Chakravyuh.
  • โš”๏ธ Conversion Mechanic: Every player death adds a new enemy piece to the board.
  • ๐Ÿ” Directional Strategy: Choose forward or backward movement — every choice matters.
  • ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ Atmospheric Design: A haunting tone of ancient entrapment and endless struggle.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips for Survival

  1. Teleport tiles can be both your escape and your trap — watch their placement carefully.
  2. Opening every box is risky — greed can lead straight to a bomb.
  3. Keep distance from enemy pieces — they multiply each time you fall.

โšœ๏ธ Think. Move. Survive.
Can you escape the Chakravyuh before it consumes you?
